A 12-day desert tour from Casablanca that takes you to visit amazing places in Morocco such as Imperial Cities of Marrakech, Fes, Meknes, and Rabat. You will also visit charming coastal cities, like Essaouira, Oualidia, and El Jadida. Apart from this, you will visit the most known places in Morocco like Ksar Ait Ben Haddou (UNESCO site), Ouarzazate, Volubilis, Todra Gorges, Dades Valley and Erg Chebbi Dunes. Day 1: Casablanca Mohamed V Airport – Rabat
We will meet you in the airport and depart for the visit of the Hassan II mosque, after continuation to Rabat, the first of Imperial Cities of Morocco. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Rabat – Moulay Idriss – Volubilis – Meknes – Fez
After breakfast, depart to Fez. We pass Moulay Idriss, the holy city, and we make a visit to the Roman ruins of Volubilis. Lunch at Volubilis. Afterward, we visit the second imperial city – Meknes – known as “The Versailles of Morocco”. Arrive in Fes in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 3: Fez
After breakfast, the day will be devoted to the discovery of Fez, the oldest of all imperial cities, founded by Idriss II, the center of the Arab-Muslim culture. You visit the Mosque of the Andalusians, tanneries, and the biggest medina in the world. Lunch at a palace in the Medina. The afternoon continues to visit: Hispano-Moorish buildings, the Medersas, the complex of Nejjarine.
Day 4: Fez – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga
After early breakfast, depart to Merzouga through the Middle Atlas mountains. Stop in Midelt for lunch. Continuation to Erfoud along the spectacular Ziz Valley. Arriving at Merzouga in the afternoon, night in a kasbah style hotel.
Day 5: Merzouga – Khamlia – Erg Chebbi Dunes
After breakfast, you will make the grand tour through the dunes. You will see oases of Merzouga, the nomadic village Khamlia, mines MIFISS, desert plateau, meeting the nomadic Berbers, oasis Tisserdmin. Back at the hostel at 15:00 for the start of your camel caravan to watch the sunset in the dunes (about an hour and a half by camel). Spend the night in a nomadic tent in the dunes to enjoy the silence of the desert sky filled with stars. Dinner and overnight in a private tent.
Day 6: Erg Chebbi Dunes – Rissani – Todra Gorges
Early wake up to watch the sunrise over the dunes, then off to Todra Gorge. We pass Rissani, Erfoud, and Tineghir oasis, Erfoud. Visiting amazing canyon Todra Gorges. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 7: Todra Gorges – Dades Valley – Skoura – Ouarzazate
After breakfast, departure to Ouarzazate. On the way, we pass Kelâa M’Gouna – the city that hosts each year the Festival of Roses. Lunch and continuation to Skoura, through the Dades Valley and the Valley of Roses, to visit the kasbah Ameridil. Then continuation to Ouarzazate. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 8: Ouarzazate – Movie studios – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
Visit the town of Ouarzazate founded in 1928, which became a very famous movie industry center (where movies like Babel, Secret of Sahara, The Mummy, Prince of Persia were filmed). Afterward, visit the Ksar Ait Ben Haddou, the most visited monument in southern Morocco. Continuation to Marrakech and arrival in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight in Riad.
Day 9: Marrakech
After breakfast, all day will be devoted to visiting Marrakech, founded in the eleventh century. Morning visit to the Koutoubia, the Saadians tombs, the garden of the Menara, and Bahia Palace. Back to the hotel for lunch. In the afternoon, visit the souks, the Medina, and Jemaa El Fna square. In the evening, Dinner in a Moroccan restaurant. Night in a Riad.
Day 10: Marrakech – Essaouira
After breakfast, depart to Essaouira, where we will get for lunchtime to eat delicious fresh fish from the port. After lunch, city tour of the medina of Essaouira, a former Portuguese fort known for its handicrafts, silver jewelry, and inlaid wood of Thuja. Dinner and overnight.
Day 11: Essaouira – Oualidia – El Jadida – Casablanca
Breakfast and departure to Casablanca. On the way visit and lunch at beautiful Oualidia lagoon (fish specialties). Afterward, the road continues along the Atlantic coast to El Jadida, where you will visit the Portuguese Cistern, a UNESCO site. Arrival in Casablanca in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight.
Day 12: Casablanca – Mohamed V Airport
After breakfast, transfer to Mohamed V airport Casablanca. End of our services.
