A 15-day desert tour from Casablanca to Marrakech that takes you to visit amazing places in Morocco such as the Imperial Cities of Marrakech, Fes, Meknes, and Rabat. You will also see the charming coastal city of Essaouira, Roman ruins of Volubilis, and a UNESCO site Ksar Ait Ben Haddou, as well as experience the desert town of Ouarzazate, Todra Gorges, Erg Chebbi Dunes, and Erg Lihoudi Dunes. This is one of our Casablanca desert tours with airport pick-up at Casablanca Airport and drop-off at Marrakech Airport.

Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca – Transfer from airport to the hotel
We pick you up from the airport and transfer to your hotel. Dinner and accommodation according to your arrival time.
Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat – Meknes
After breakfast, we visit Casablanca, Morocco’s biggest city. We will visit the Hassan II Mosque, the biggest mosque in Morocco, with the highest minaret in the world. Departure for Rabat, where we will visit the Royal Palace, Mausoleum of Mohamed V, the Hassan Tower, the Kasbah Oudaya, and the Necropolis of Chellah. We leave Rabat for Meknes, one of the imperial cities founded by Moulay Ismail. We arrive in the evening, and you will have your dinner and the night stay in a Riad.
Day 3: Meknes – Volubilis – Moulay Idriss – Fes
After breakfast, we depart for Moulay Idriss, the Moroccan holy city, surrounded by fertile farmland and olive groves. On the way, we will visit the Roman ruins of Volubilis listed as one of the World’s Heritage Sites by UNESCO. We continue our trip to Fez, arriving in the evening. Dinner and overnight in a Riad.
Day 4: Fes
Fes is the most beautiful imperial city in Morocco. We will have a day exploring the city and its historical monuments. You will visit the ancient medina, the biggest in the world, where people are living on the rhythm of the old days. After lunch, we continue the tour to visit Koranic schools, fountains, including the famous Attarine Madrasa and Karaouine University, the oldest continuously operating Koranic university in the world. Dinner and overnight in a Raid.
Day 5: Fes – Azrou – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga (Erg Chebbi Dunes)
After breakfast, we depart to Merzouga crossing green landscapes, beautiful lakes, and cedar green forests of the Middle Atlas Mountains. We pass through Ifrane, ski resort called “Little Switzerland of Morocco”, and Azrou, a Berber village known for its handicrafts, carpets and wood carving), where you can spot barbary monkeys. Lunch at a local restaurant in Midelt. Then passing by the Tizi-n-Talghmet (The Camel Pass) 1,907 m high and the impressive views of Ziz valley to arrive in Erfoud. We continue our trip to Merzouga, where you exchange 4×4 for camels and start your 2 hours camel ride to reach your bivouac. You will enjoy the view of the orange dunes of Erg Chebbi. Dinner and overnight at bivouac with Berber nomadic tents.
Day 6: Merzouga – Tinghir – Todra Gorge
Early wake up to watch the sunrise over the Sahara desert. After breakfast in the camp, we will leave Merzouga by 4×4 to Tinghir via Jorf palm groves located on the right bank of Oued Ziz. Arriving at the village of Tinejdad where we will visit the museum of Oasis El Khorbat, taking tea or coffee in the garden. Arrival in Tinghir to visit the Jewish quarter with the traditional architecture, Berber souks, then the palm oasis which extends over 15km where we will make a short walk. We continue our road to reach Todra Gorge, a canyon with 300 m high walls. Dinner and overnight in a hotel.
Day 7: Todra Gorge – Jebel Saghro – Nkob
After breakfast on the terrace of your hotel, we leave to Nkob through an off-road around the hills of the High Atlas to the fortified villages of the Saghro chain through Tizi’n’Tazazert (2 283m high), one of the most beautiful and most impressive panoramas in Morocco. We arrive at Nkob where you will stay in a guest house with a swimming pool. Dinner and overnight at the same place.
Day 8: Nkob – Zagora – Tamgroute – Mhamid (Erg Lihoudi Dunes)
After breakfast, we leave Nkob to Mhamid – the last village before the desert. After Zagora, we will make a stop in Tamgroute to visit the Koranic library, the pottery, and the underground Kasbah. Then, we continue our journey through the palms oasis of Ouled Brahim, Reg Elfaija to reach Mhamid. You will switch for a camel for a 2-hour camel ride to get to the camp. Dinner and overnight in Berber tents.
Day 9: Mhamid – Agdz – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou
After breakfast, we visit the old Ksar of Mhamid. Afterward, we leave to Ait Ben Haddou through Draa Valley, palm grove of Agdz, and kasbah Tamnougalt. We arrive in Ouarzazate. We continue to Ksar Ait Ben Haddou. Dinner and overnight in a hotel nearby.
Day 10: Ait Ben Haddou – Taliouine – Taroudant
After breakfast, we visit the Ksar Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO site and one of the most visited monuments in Morocco. Then we leave to Taroudant through the Anti Atlas Mountains. Taroudant is known as “little Marrakech” due to its red walls surrounding the city. If the schedule allows, there is an optional excursion to the Oasis of Tiout to have a walk with a donkey in the palm grove. Dinner and overnight in a hotel in Taroudant.
Day 11: Taroudant – Essaouira
Morning visits the souks and fortified ancient walls of Tardoudant, then we leave to Essaouira. In Essaouira, we will have a city tour to visit the ancient Kasbah, port, and medina. Dinner, and overnight in your Riad.
Day 12: Essaouira – Marrakech
After breakfast, we drive to Marrakech through the small towns of Sidi Mokhtar and Chichaua. On the way visit at an argan oil cooperative to watch the production of this precious oil. We arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon. You will have a free evening. Dinner and overnight in your hotel.
Day 13: Marrakech
Full day tour of the city and its monuments. Dinner and overnight in your hotel.
Day 14: Marrakech – Ouzoud Waterfalls
After breakfast, you will start a day excursion to impressive Ozoud waterfalls, passing through Tamelelt, Attaouïa, and Oued Rbid. We will have lunch and free time in the beautiful setting of the waterfall. We get back to Marrakech in the evening. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.
Day 15: Marrakech – Airport Transfer
Free time before your flight. You will be transferred to the airport for your return flight. End of our service.
